Your New Smyrna Beach Experience

Welcome to the Reel Healin Outdoors Fishing Report, your go-to source for the latest updates on fishing conditions and hotspots in the New Smyrna Beach area. Our team of expert anglers, led by Captain Chris Mansfield, is dedicated to providing you with real-time insights and tips to enhance your Florida fishing experience. Whether you're into surf fishing, surf angling, or beach shore fishing, our reports are your key to success on the water. Stay tuned for detailed information that will help you make the most of your fishing adventures with Reel Healin Outdoors.

We get these questions a lot. What time of year is best for beach fishing? What time is best for beach fishing? What is the best fishing month in Florida? Well, the best time of year for beach fishing can vary depending on your location and the specific fish species you're targeting. However, in many coastal areas, spring and fall are often considered the prime seasons for beach fishing. During these seasons, the water temperature is comfortable, and many fish species are more active, making it an excellent time to cast your line from the shoreline. Additionally, these seasons tend to have more stable weather conditions, which can enhance your fishing experience. Nonetheless, it's essential to research the specific region you plan to fish in, as local conditions and fish migrations can influence the best time for beach fishing in that area. Take a look at our fishing reports to discover the firsthand experiences of our guests as they reel in these incredible fish!

At Reel Healin Outdoors, we offer two options for fishing trips: a 4-hour morning trip and a 4-hour afternoon trip. The choice depends on your desired adventure and the amount of time you want to spend on the water. We understand that there is a multitude of resources available for planning your upcoming fishing expedition, and we are delighted that our advice has proven useful to you. At Reel Healin Outdoors, we are deeply committed to sharing our expertise about this remarkable aquatic environment with fellow passionate anglers such as yourself. We eagerly look forward to joining you on your fishing adventure!

New Smyrna Beach - Volusia, FL Inshore Report on 8th Aug, 2026 - 1

Not every trip is about filling the cooler... sometimes it's about filling the soul. 🤙🏼 Today's bite wasn't one to brag about, but the vibes never dropped! The water was DIRTY, and the catfish definitely took over. 😅 Even with the tough conditions, we still managed to put a couple of quality whiting in the box, along with a flounder, a few mojarras, and of course... a couple of baby sharks (doo doo 🦈🎶). That's fishing. Some days you load the cooler, and other days you make memories, learn something new, and enjoy a sunrise on the beach with great people. Thank y'all for trusting Reel Healin Outdoors and allowing me to help create memories that'll last a lifetime. I truly appreciate every trip, no matter what the tide brings. None of this would be possible without the support of the companies that believe in what Reel Healin Outdoors stands for. Thank y'all for helping me continue to make memories and get people on the sand. South Florida Bucket List Fishing Day fishing report coverpicture

December 19, 2025

New Smyrna Beach - Volusia, FL Inshore Report on 19th Dec, 2025 - 1

Bucket list trip in the books with our son Christian, Humphrey, John Pirrera (Pompano Cartel ) and shawn, with (Surf N Tackle) PEACOCK BASS ✅️ aka the “Rasta Fish”(Bucket list LARGEMOUTH BASS ✅️ SNOOK ✅️ JACKS ✅️ PELICAN ✅️ “Birdman” 🤣 What a DAY. We literally fished from sunup to sundown, and it felt like South Florida just kept showing more. Every turn was another spot, another canal, another bridge, another pond that looked you know held quality fish! It’s wild how many fisheries are packed into that one region, it’s like a playground for anglers. The Rasta Fish (Peacock Bass) was the one we went down there hoping for! The females are typically the brighter ones, when lit up Her colors are beautiful! Greens, yellows, reds, Just like the Rasta Way! Finally being able to reel one in with people who carry the same vibes, Man!!!! Thats the moments you wont forget!. That fish wasn’t just a catch, it was a checkmark on the bucket list we’ll all remember. Sad thing is I used to live down there ( Lake Worth) till I was 9/10yo. And never "Got Into it!" Everything happens for a reason! Snook ate a white JYG Crappie jig! Largemouths popped out of nowhere, jacks gave us attitude, and even the pelican wanted to be part of the crew. South Florida’s fishery really is different, it was like every cast was a surprise. We didn’t land a Clown or Snakehead this round, but that just means the story ain’t over. Round 2 is definetly coming up sooner than later!! Momma is already looking forward to it. Fellas your hospitality, knowledge, laughs, and good vibes made the whole trip what it was. These aren’t the moments you forget. These are the ones you talk about for years. The ones that become “remember that day...” stories. Days like this are what fishing is all about. The chase. The scenery. The camaraderie. The memories made along the way. Much Love & Appreciation Brothers!! New Smyrna Beach - Volusia, FL Inshore Report on 19th Dec, 2025 - 2

Wake up 3:15am. Coffee made... Inhale the smoke, Breathe out the frustration... Out the door by 4am, meet the crew on the sand around 5:30am. Bite started off HOT 🔥 Fishbites “Jingle Berries” was hot! Thats what I call ’em. Jingle Bites is the real name... and yep, they’re still selling... ( https://www.fishbites.com/.../fishbites-longer-lasting-e... ) Whiting after whiting. Only keeping the ones 10”+. Yeah, you can keep up to 100 lbs, but I feel anything smaller just ain’t worth it. Not enough meat. Quality over quantity... until... BOOM!!! Humphrey Fishing rod DUMPS OVER. He takes off runnin’, and I’m hollerin’, “GET ITTTT!” He cranks it in and reels up a 191⁄4” Black Drum!! One of my favorite fish to eat. Thick. Clean. Fillets. Absolute stud. Duley showed up around 10:15am, and the bite started to slow down. Not saying he was the reason, low tide was at 8am and high was at 2pm, so the water was moving. Only Good Vibes and Nature! It's always better with like-minded people! Much love and appreciation to y’all gentlemen for coming out and throwing some lead! Altogether we ended up catching a mess of whiting, black drum, palometa, catfish, sharks, and shorty pomps Always good vibes One Love • No Divide • Just Vibes 🤙🏼 Over The Bar Rods The Sinker Guy Benjamin's Beach Wheels Surf Hippie Phishing Pompano Rich #Fishing #SurfFishing #FloridaFishing #BeachFishing #SaltLife #FishingLife #TightLines #FishOn #Anglers #EarlyMorningGrind #GoodVibes #NatureHeals #OutdoorTherapy #LikeMinded #ReelHealinOutdoors #RHOvibes #OneLoveNoDivide #JustVibes #StayReelin #ThrowingLead #FloridaSurfFishing #OneLove
